Symmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications (SIGMA)

Special Issue on Symmetry, Separation, Super-integrability and Special Functions (S4)

The Guest Editors for this special issue are

Ernie Kalnins (University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand)
Niky Kamran (McGill University, Montreal, Canada)
Peter Olver (University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA)
Pavel Winternitz (Universite de Montreal, Canada)

Topics for this special issue will include symmetry methods for differential equations, higher symmetries, separation and multi-separation of variables, special functions and orthogonal polynomials, Hamiltonian systems, both classical and quantum, super-integrability and its connections with separability and quasi-exact solvability, and applications to physical systems arising in classical and quantum mechanics and relativity.

The issue is related to the S4 conference in honor of Willard Miller.

How to Submit an Article to the Issue.

Both original research articles and review papers will be considered (not having been published elsewhere).

There is no limit to the length of an article. Deadline for paper submission is January 31, 2011.

All articles will go through the standard peer reviewing procedure of SIGMA.

If you have your paper ready earlier than the deadline, we encourage you to send it now. We will start the reviewing process and publish the paper as soon as the positive publication decision is made. The paper will be indexed in the relevant databases as soon as it is published without waiting for completion of the special issue.
