Special Issue on Relationship of Orthogonal Polynomials and Special Functions with Quantum Groups and Integrable Systems

The Guest Editors for this special issue are

Nalini Joshi (University of Sydney, Australia)
Erik Koelink (Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands)
Tom Koornwinder (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
Masatoshi Noumi (Kobe University, Japan)
Simon Ruijsenaars (University of Leeds and Loughborough University, UK)
Fedor Smirnov (Université Paris 6, France)
Jasper Stokman (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands)

Topics for this special issue will include:

  • hypergeometric functions and harmonic analysis on (quantum) groups;
  • Painlevé equations and special functions;
  • orthogonal polynomials and special functions in relation to integrable quantum many-body systems and Cherednik algebras;
  • correlation functions in integrable quantum field theories and in integrable models from statistical physics.

Papers on these or related topics are welcome for this issue.

How to Submit an Article to the Issue.

Both original research articles and review papers will be considered (not having been published elsewhere).

There is no limit to the length of an article. Deadline for paper submission is April 30, 2011.

All articles will go through the standard peer reviewing procedure of SIGMA.

If you have your paper ready earlier than the deadline, we encourage you to send it now. We will start the reviewing process and publish the paper as soon as the positive publication decision is made. The paper will be indexed in the relevant databases as soon as it is published without waiting for completion of the special issue.

The poster of the issue is available in A4 format and A3 format.
