Accommodations

At present there are some 34,000 hotel beds in Berlin (population about 3.5 million) of which about 25,000 beds belong to the middle-class or boarding house category. Very popular with visitors are the old-fashioned and comfortable Pensionen. Most of the hotels are located between the TU Berlin and Kurfürstendamm. In addition, the Berlin Tourist Office offers a private bed service, providing several thousand beds - and, of course, there are the various university guest houses and student dormitories.

The organizing committee has made reservations for hotels rooms in the range from DM 100-400. Private bedrooms and student dormitories will be available in the range from DM 35-100.
