On a Trace Inequality for One-Sided Potentials and Applications to the Solvability of Nonlinear Integral Equations

Necessary and sufficient conditions, which govern a trace inequality for one-sided potentials in the ``diagonal'' case, are established. An application to the existence of positive solutions of a certain nonlinear integral equation is presented.
