$\mathbb{C}^*$-actions on $\mathbb{C}^3$ are linearizable

Abstract.

We give the outline of the proof of the linearization conjecture: every algebraic $ %{\bf \C^*$-action on $ %{\bf \C^3$ is linear in a suitable coordinate system.
