  • Abstract
    This paper deals with the IEMath initiative. This is concerned with the creation of a Spanish Institute of Mathematics, a project that has relied on the work of a lot of people from the mathematics community during the last years. The authors summarize the steps of this unffinished process and make some comments on the situation and perspectives.
