Review: Using a result of Erdös (Zbl 083.03702) and straightforward continued fraction techniques the authors prove: For any given irrational number \theta and any real number \alpha there exists an absolute constant \lambda such that x |y-\theta x+\alpha| < \lambda (log x / log x)2 is satisfied by infinitely many coprime integers x,y with x > 0.
